Arabic Lyrics

English Translation

bet'amal fik we b sehr ashfoonak I gaze at you and the beauty of your cheeks,
websafer fik bi bahr oyounak and I voyage in the sea of your eyes.
be albi bghafik we el helm ashnoonak I made you sleep in my heart, and the dream is your madness.
shra'i ydafeek mel mawji ysoonak My sail warms you and shields you from the waves.

noor el shams noor ashbinak The light of the sun shines from your forehead.
enta el ams omri sninak You are yesterday, my life is yours.
ghmorni bhams men haninak Fill me with the whispers of your longing.
wihna bas enta habibi It's only you and me, my love.

noor el shams noor ashbinak The light of the sun shines from your forehead.
enta el ams omri sninak You are yesterday, my life is yours.
ghmorni bhams men haninak Fill me with the whispers of your longing.
wihna bas enta habibi It's only you and me, my love.

wet'ammal bad bi kel wroodak And hope after all your roses.
we byekhla waad fi men w'oodak And he creates a promise in me from your promises.
yeghrini el ward I am tempted by the roses,
el ward el akhdoodak the roses are on your cheeks,
ersom al khad albi el majnoonak my heart is mad about you.

noor el shams noor ashbinak The light of the sun shines from your forehead.
enta el ams omri sninak You are yesterday, my life is yours.
ghmorni bhams men haninak Fill me with the whispers of your longing.
wihna bas enta habibi It's only you and me, my love.

shou helw nam asriri ghyoomak How nice to sleep on a bed of clouds,
wel amar ehrem lem khadde njoomak and the moon is a veil for your pillow of stars.
lish ta'ilnam law hatta loomak Why should i be blamed or even blame you?
ma fi ahlam khel'et men doonak Without you, there are no more dreams.

noor el shams noor ashbinak The light of the sun shines from your forehead.
enta el ams omri sninak You are yesterday, my life is yours.
ghmorni bhams men haninak Fill me with the whispers of your longing.
wihna bas enta habibi It's only you and me, my love.

noor el shams noor ashbinak The light of the sun shines from your forehead.
enta el ams omri sninak You are yesterday, my life is yours.
ghmorni bhams men haninak Fill me with the whispers of your longing.
wihna bas enta habibi It's only you and me, my love.
