The Dancer wafts from
Table to table, trailing
Mirage like perfume.

About The Poet

Kat Lebo, from Lafayette, Indiana, has been a belly dancer since 1974, and she has taught during a good deal of that time. After a haitus of a few years, she is back teaching agin, and renewing her love affair with Middle Eastern Dance. As Kat says, "After all, outside the stage, where else can a 50 year old woman still play dress-up? :-) I love the music, I love the costumes, I love the adrenelin of performing -- but most of all I love the illusion. 'The Dancer' is my attempt to capture that element."

If you would like to correspond with Kat, her email address is WizKat@bigfoot.com. Please drop her a line and tell her you enjoyed her poem!
