I Saw In Your Eyes

by Richard Valentine

I saw in your eyes
the distance
of a star

Moving through space
from universe
to universe

Through time's forgotten
dreams,
yet unborn

Give me of your breath
oh beloved on earth
so that I might arise

drinking of the blossoms
that fall and rise
from birth to death.

About The Poet

Richard describes himself as follows:

I write many poems and have been asked to read my poetry at many places in the Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) area. My poetry is mystical. Deals with the thoughts from the heart. Belly dancing is the physical art of poetry in motion, touching a wisp here, an emotion there, always moving like the stars and the universe alone in the vastness of space, ever reaching closer to the sun.

If you would like to send him e-mail to tell him you liked his poem, his address is St.Valentine@worldnet.att.net.
