Ad for Show at El Bosphore Owned by Mary Mansour and Imtithal Fawzy
May 14, 1936

Translated by Priscilla Adum

The 1936 advertisement below features a show at the rooftop nightclub run by Mary Mansour and Imtethal Fawzy. It is particularly interesting, as well as sad. The ad promotes a May 14 show, just eight days before Imtethal was murdered on stage at this very same club.

ABOUT THE PHOTO: The photo shows Imtethal Fawzy.
