Dance of the Seven Veils

I am Salomé
I dance the Dance of the Seven Veils
I dance for Herod the King
I dance for Him to obtain his favors
I dance the Dance of the Seven Veils
For this dance he does savor

As I dance the Dance of the Seven Veils for him...
I remove the 1st veil
         the 2nd veil
         the 3rd veil
         the 4th veil
         the 5th veil
         the 6th veil

and finally...

the 7th veil

is removed...

King Herod is in ecstasy
I have performed my Dance for his birthday
I have performed my Dance of the Seven Veils
most beautifully for his birthday

Now King, my favor in return
I want the Head of John The Baptist

So she shall have it
So I shall not disappoint my mistress
nor go back on my word to her

So John's Head is gone
So is Salomé
For she married his father Philip
and now she dances the
Dance of the Seven Veils

for him...
