Worship

Regina's comments about this artwork: This is a piece I call "Worship". More for the worship of the dance than religion. The piece was inspired by the dance itself. I was the model for it. I love the way I feel when I'm dancing, so I decided I should create a work of art to honor that feeling. I've been dancing for less than a year, but I am proud of it!

This beautiful artwork was created by Regina Lafay. She had the following to say about herself:

Art is one of the few ways I can express myself. But now that I've discovered belly dancing, I have another outlet for my creativity. I love the way I feel when I'm dancing! It gives me a sense of confidence that I never had before, not even when I was a model. I've been dancing for less than a year, but I am truly proud to say I can do it! I felt it was a natural thing to combine the two and honor the beauty that is belly dancing with my artwork.
